Customer Home Move – System Upgrade

When we were contacted by a client who we installed a cinema for several years ago, they were so happy with the cinema and the service we provided at the time, they asked us to move the cinema to their new home. They were building a dedicated loft conversion and with input from ourselves, they also wanted to upgrade their system. As they streamed most of their content in 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos, we wanted to ensure they could enjoy the best quality picture and sound they could, but with the constraints of the loft conversion. The resulting setup was an M&K 7.2.2 system with front-height speakers and the latest JVC 4K projector running through an Anthem MRX AVR all controlled using one easy-to-use, backlit remote control from Control4. As a bonus, we added the lighting circuits to the system so lights can be turned on and off without leaving the comfort of the sofa and to prevent stubbing toes in the dark.

On top of this, with the client knowing we specialise in networking too, we also assisted the client with their internet connection, internal network and wireless connectivity throughout the property. We supplied and fitted a router for his incoming fibre connection, a gigabit PoE+ switch and multiple Wi-Fi 6 wireless access points (WAPs) strategically placed in the property. The result – all data points throughout the property are live with a gigabit connection to each one and whole home wireless coverage with seamless roaming, which is critical for Wi-Fi Calling, an issue the client previously experienced.
