Living Room Transformation

Lonely, unloved, unused and wasted space – Comments from the homeowner when they contacted us about their living room plans. Why is it not used, it’s a living room? Since building an open plan kitchen, diner and snug space with a big TV on the wall, the living room became neglected. But on staying in an Airbnb house with a cinema room, the idea of converting the unused living room into a cinema room was born for a huge F1 fan.
After coming for a demonstration at our showroom, the idea quickly became a reality. A site visit was arranged, the room was assessed and conversations were held with regards to how to present the room. A budget was set and an appropriately specified system was created. A Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 audio system paired with a projection-based image of 100″ edge to edge (115″ in diagonal TV measurements) being the final specification. We also added in mood lighting to enhance that cinema feeling with the slow dimming of the light as the film begins and all easy to use with a single remote control. Tiered seating was a must to ensure everyone could enjoy an uninterrupted view of the big screen.
Even though the cinema was completed during the Formula One off-season, there was no danger of the room not being used with any excuse to find something to watch. Even re-watching box sets to enjoy the huge immersion of the screen and sound with the homeowners even commenting on social media “This far exceeded our expectations, you did an amazing job. Your passion for what you do shines through, thank you ????????“
For this project, along with the cinema equipment, we completed;
- Electrics
- Plumbing
- Plastering
- Carpentry
- Painting & Decorating

Whether you’re a Formula One fan, love box sets or enjoy a good film, bringing the big screen and sound to your own home can be achieved in virtually any space.
